PSHE

At St Ambrose, we believe that PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) helps to give pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active and responsible citizens. Through our PSHE curriculum, we aim to instil in all our pupils an appreciation of what it means to be in a diverse, multicultural society. Circle time, focus days, role play, storytelling and talks from specialist visitors all contribute to St Ambrose’s current PSHE curriculum.

Update!

In Spring 2017 St Ambrose will be rolling out a comprehensive PSHE scheme of work called Jigsaw. Jigsaw PSHE brings together Personal, Social, Health and Economic education, emotional literacy, social skills and spiritual development in a lesson-a-week programme. We are very excited about delivering this new programme and we believe that Jigsaw will further enhance all of the amazing things we currently do across the school and also help us to cover all aspects of the PSHE Curriculum thoroughly.

You can find out more about JIGSAW by downloading a PDF guide for parents using the link below.
