Pupil Premium Statement
Pupil Premium Statement 2016 – 2017
Pupil Premium is funding allocated to schools by the government to address inequalities and enable support to reach the pupils who need it most. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil, is spent, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils at their school.
At the beginning of the academic year, school carefully ring-fences the funding so that is is spent on activities that are most likely to have an impact on improving achievement. The school analyses data to find which pupils are under achieving and specific interventions are put in place to support pupils in core subjects, particularly in English and Mathematics.
PUPIL PREMIUM (2016-2017)
The level of the premium in 2016-17 is £1,300 per pupil for pupils eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) and for pupils in care who have been continuously looked after for six months. We have 45% of our children eligible for school meals.
The total amount of pupil premium allocated to our school during the academic year, 2016 – 2017 is £125,635.
If any parent has a question relating to this area of school life, please contact the school to speak to the Headteacher.
