In opening school, we have followed national and local guidance in minimising the risk of COVID infection to those on site through a number of measures and thorough risk assessment process. Our risk assessment can be found here.

The government is providing a catch-up premium fund to help us support our children in closing learning gaps created by lost learning time due to the pandemic. You can find the report on how we intend to spend this funding here.

Parents and families are asked to adhere to the following from school to support the health of our school community:

  • All adults and secondary aged pupils are asked to wear a face mask covering both nose and mouth when dropping off and picking up children each day or coming to the office. This begins from Monday  14 September.
  • If you are not wearing a mask you will be asked to wait until all other families have dispersed from the playground before being granted access to the school site.

Start and end of day procedures

Adults entering the site wearing masks walk Nursery- Y5 children to the Infant playground. Here they will line up and be met by our staff. Adults then exit the site via the one way system leaving via the vehicle driveway.

Y6 children are dropped at the main entrance and they make their way to the Y6 entrance. At the end of the day Y6 children exit from the same place and meet parents at the main gates on exit.

Visiting school

Any parent wishing to speak to the office will be asked to hand sanitise before entering and will not be able to enter the main building. You will be required to wear a face mask at the office window.

We will only arrange face to face meetings between staff and parents in exceptional circumstances. Phone calls are preferable at this time.

From Monday 14 September, for any exceptional face to face meetings in school, the adults taking part in the meeting, including staff, are asked to wear masks.
